| Looks like he'll be in a Steppenwolf play next April:
Next, in the tradition of past Steppenwolf forays into the worlds of George S. Kauman, Moss Hart, Edna Ferber and William Saroyan, the company will dust off Robert Anderson's I Never Sang for My Father. John Mahoney is the irascible father and Kevin Anderson is Gene Garrison, the emotionally conflicted son who suddenly has to spend a lot of time with dear old Dad. Dates are April 22-June 20, 2004. (Robert Simonson - Playbill)

Sinise and many other ensemble members [Steppenwolf] are gearing up for their theater company's annual gala April 26, again featuring some amazing auction prizes. Starstruck attendees will have the chance to bid on items such as custom-designed outfits created by John Malkovich's new clothing line (inexplicably called Mrs. Mudd), dinner at Malkovich's home in the Provence region of France (including plane tickets), "At Home" evenings in Hollywood with Laurie Metcalf, John Mahoney and Wolfgang Puck, and walk-ons for hit TV shows such as "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Frasier" and "Will & Grace." (Zwecker - Chicago Sun-Times)
| He is scheduled to be awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Western Illinois University in December 2003 (Western Illinois University).
