He's starring in the Northlight Theatre's production of Better Late running from April 2 - May 11.

It's "John Mahoney" day, once again.

It's been announced that he will be in the Skokie, IL, Northlight Theatre's Spring 2008 production of Better Late. (ref Chicago Sun-Times).

He will be in the Roundabout Theatre's production of Prelude to a Kiss in New York running February 16 - April 22, 2007. Tickets are around $90 for Orchestra.

Stella's column in the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that he "apparently has completely recovered from his serious bout with pancreatitis earlier this year." Filming for the film Dan in Real Life starts next month.

Showtime is airing Fathers and Sons on Father's Day (June 19, 2005) at 8pm ET.

He is taking part in the Ravinia Festival's "Sondheim 75" project for a staged version of "Anyone Can Whistle" on August 26 at 8pm, and August 27 at 7pm. Tickets are $40-80.

If you get a chance to go see The Dresser I highly recommend it. I was there this past weekend, and it was really amazing.

It looks like he's going to be narrating for more than one night at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The dates on their calendar are November 17, 18, 20, and 23, and tickets are $25-100+.

I went to Chicago this past weekend to see I Never Sang for My Father. It was wonderful. I actually got to meet him after one of the shows, and he is as nice in person as he appears on screen. Some pictures have been added, and some things I scanned in from the theatre.

Oh, and I can't believe I forgot to add this. He's going to be in the Steppenwolf Theatre production of The Dresser, September 16 - November 14, 2004.

The Chicago Sun-Times has an excellent interview/article about him as a promotion for I Never Sang for My Father opening. There have been a couple reviews of the play online, and all have been very good.

Well, he had a schedule conflict with the book reading, so they replaced him with Mike Nussbaum, actor and local radio personality. I went to Chicago to hear the reading only to find out about the change when I got to the Library. The reading was nice anyway. Tomorrow (4/22) I Never Sang for my Father opens at the Steppenwolf.

Quite a few updates since I have slacked this month.

He got interviewed on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild awards on E! before the show on February 22. Unlike other interviews they actually asked what he had planned after Frasier. He said that he had plays lined up for the next 2 years. He starts I Never Sang for my Father rehersal as soon as he's done with Frasier.

Well, it's official, NBC announced Monday that Frasier is going off the air after 11 seasons.

He wrapped shooting of the movie "Fathers and Sons" in August in Los Angeles. I can't find any information about it on IMDB, but several entertainment websites have mentioned it.

Well, he didn't win the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor, but he did get interviewed by Joan Rivers. But as usual, she only asked about him being British. No new information. They should let me interview him. :-)

"Almost Salinas" opened on 5/9/03 in Chicago. John attended the premiere at the AMC 21 Theatres in River East. The post-movie Premiere party was held at Marche Restaurant, and the cast was present (Chicago Sun-Times).
